The Herriman Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Trails Master Plan 2026 follows just six years on the heels of the previous master plan, but with the rapid rate of growth and development in recent years, an update is necessary to provide updated guidance for the city. As one of the fastest growing communities in the region, an up-to-date and comprehensive parks, recreation, open space and trails master plan is an essential tool for ensuring acquisition, development and maintenance of facilities and programs in Herriman keeps pace with demands and needs as it looks toward build-out in 2060.
The Parks, Recreation, Trails, and Open Space Master Plan will establish a clear vision for our city that balances current strengths with future needs. This vision will then be translated into long-reaching and comprehensive recommendations that address parks, open space, recreation and trails development. The resulting plan will help us retain the essence of what our city is today while establishing a clear direction for the future.
